Robust economic data and a rise in inflation have already led to several interest rate hikes in the USA. In the medium term, the US is aiming for a key interest rate in excess of 3%. In Europe, the European Central Bank also ushered in the end of bond purchases in 2018. However, despite this tightening we believe interest rate hikes are still a distant prospect in the Eurozone.1
